A Japanese magazine has published a special column for Chinese movie “Red Cliff” (credits to 163.com) with interviews and some latest photos from the movie set.
Red Cliff is the highest budgeted Chinese movie ever produced; it is directed by renowned director John Woo and featured a strong cast of Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tony Leung, Vicki Zhao, Lin Zhi Ling etc.
Taiwanese artist Ella Chen (from S.H.E) is voted Taiwan’s most beautiful lady in a recent poll, beating the likes of supermodel Lin Zhi Ling etc.
Ella herself is surprised by the results and attributes the ’success’ to her fans. The result has caused quite some debate though, as fans are accusing each other for cheating and abusing the voting system… (I am not sure how the voting works)
The poll was organized by a local paper and the voting was held for a total of 25 days. Ella tops the poll with 5844 votes, 699 ahead of Lin Zhi Ling. China star Liu Yifei is at 11 spot, but is the top non-Taiwanese artist on the poll.
The director and cast of movie “Battle of Red Cliff” held their first official press conference on Thursday (May 10) in Beijing, China.
Taiwanese actress and model Megan Lai is appointed as Japan tourism ambassador to promote Japan tourism in Taiwan.
Megan was officially appointed by a Japanese minister in Tokyo; replacing supermodel Lin Zhi Ling who held the role for the past couple of years.
Lin Zhi Ling is currently involved in her debut movie, “The Battle of Red Cliff,” which is expected to finish filming no sooner than October 2007.

The press are speculating that this could be her last sexy shot before she focus on her movie debut in “The Battle of Red Cliff.”
It’s reported that the photos were taken at a cold weather; Zhi Ling was soaked in water for almost 2 hours for the perfect shot, and she showed great professionalism with it.

The filming of big budget movie “The Battle of Red Cliff” suffered a mini-crisis when one of the leading actors Chow Yun Fat ‘resigned’ from the movie last weekend.
Surprisingly, the other actor that quit earlier last month, Tony Leung has decided to join the production again. According to some news source, Tony and the producers have already agreed on terms, and it’s pending on official signings only.
Well, who would have thought of these dramatic incidents; it’s better than the movie itself… perhaps someone should write a script and make it into a movie lo.
Since that Tony’s role is already taken by Takeshi Kaneshiro, if he is really coming back, he is likely to take Chow’s original role instead; but I strongly felt that Tony should take back his original role and Takeshi take on Chow’s role instead.
Besides, Tony is a couple inches shorter than Chow Yun Fat and his ‘wife’ Lin Zhi Ling… Takeshi seemed like a better-matched couple with Lin.
Taiwan supermodel Lin Zhi Ling (Chiling, 林志玲) was criticized by international renowned director Tsai Ming Liang (蔡明亮).
The Malaysian born award winning director was referring to Chiling’s act at a recent company-dinner by Taiwan richest man, Terry Guo (郭台铭).
Jerry Yan (言承旭) and Hebe Tian (田馥甄) topped a Taiwan poll for Most Wanted Celebrities’ Date on Valentine’s Day.
Over 1.2 million votes were collected, and Jerry was the overwhelming winner with over 800,000 votes. 2nd and 3rd on the male celebrities list are Sam Wang (王绍伟) and Wu Chun (吴尊).
Top 3 female celebrities are Hebe, Lin Zhi Ling (林志玲) and Ada Pan (潘慧如).

Taiwan supermodel Lin Chiling (林志玲) is going to sue a Taiwan magazine (壹周刊) for invading her private property and for defamation.
It happened that the magazine published some photos of the interior of Chiling’s new house (still under renovation), and wrote some comments that she’s setting some fengshui element to hunt a rich husband/boyfriend.
Chiling is sueing the magazine’s chief editor and the journalist who wrote the article.
