Disney has announced that they will make all 7 Chronicles of Narnia books into movies.

Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

The first adaptation, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” was produced in 2005, and obviously did pretty well to convince Disney to make the rest into films.

The next edition is “Prince Caspian” which is scheduled to release in May 2008.

“Family Ties” (Gajokeui tansaeng) surprisingly won the best movie award at the 44th Daejong on June 8 in Seoul, beating the hot favorites “The Host” and “200 Pound Beauty.”

The best actress award is claimed by Kim Ah-jung (200 Pound Beauty), while veteran Ahn Sung-ki (Radio Star) is the best actor…

You can also see the trailer from its official website.

“Atonement” is a movie based on Ian McEwan’s same title novel. Directed by director of “Pride and Prejudice,” Joe Wright; the movie stars Keira Knightley, James McAvoy and Romola Garai.

I am not going to pretend that I know about the original story, I don’t read that much lol; so here’s the review from imdb instead…

In the summer of 1935, 13-year-old Briony Tallis observes a flirtation between a servant’s son, Robbie (James), and her older sister, Cecilia (Keira), that she childishly misconstrues. Briony’s misunderstanding leads to a terrible crime whose consequences follow them through World War II…

“The Host” (also known as “Gwoemul”) broke the best selling movie record in Korea in 2006. Themed as a monster movie, The Host offers a lot more than horror… in fact it hardly qualified as a horror movie; it combines comedy, dark humor, suspense, action and just a bit of horror.

The official trailer for “Pirates Of The Caribbean 3: At World’s End”…

The main cast remains the same… Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley etc.; and with the addition of Hong Kong star Chow Yun Fat.

Chow Yun Fat, who plays a pirate in the movie, said a phrase in the trailer that created some debates in Singapore… “Welcome to Singapore.” Some Singaporeans are not too happy for being branded a pirate country.

On the bright side, at least Singapore got some free promotion in a Hollywood blockbuster wannabe. I bet their tourism will soar after the movie lol.

“The Classic” (클래식) is a 2003 Korean movie starring Son Ye-jin, Jo In-sung and Cho Seung-woo, and directed by Kwak Jae-yong.
