Hero (JaeJoong) from Korean boyband TVXQ is voted as the prettiest Asian men in a poll organised by China’s Xingkong TV channel.

Around 40 million votes have been casted, and Hero topped the poll with 10% of the votes (4.17 million).

Came in 2nd is Taiwanese heartthrob Jerry Yan; while 3rd place belongs to another TVXQ member U-know (YunHo).

4th-10th are Kazuya Kamenashi (Japan), Jimmy Lin, Vic Zhou (Taiwan), Tomohisa Yamashita (Japan), Han Geng (China), Joe Cheng (Taiwan) and Wu Zun (Brunei).

The funny thing is that only one China artist was on top 10… but Han Geng probably got in for being a member of Korean boyband Super Junior, so he is ‘half Korean’ actually.

Korean actor Won Bin is coming back to acting pretty soon.

The “Autumn in my Heart” star is working on his first job since discharging from the army in June 2006… modelling for fashion brand Ziozia, which he worked with since 2001 until he was admitted to military service in late 2005.

His agency said that Won Bin is currently reviewing some scripts and is likely to make his comeback starring in a movie (instead of drama).

The Korea Military Academy has released a photo of actor Gong Yoo in the military academy, wearing his uniform.

Gong Yoo, who joins the army on Jan 14, is the latest high profile star who enter the military service.

2008 will see an influx of big names into Korea’s mandatory military service… Shinhwa’s Eric and Kim Dong-wan are approaching the age limit (28) and will have to join the army this year; others like actors Kim Rae-won, Lee Dong-gun and pop star Kangta are probably joining in too.
