Ito Misaki is voted as the Japanese actress with worst acting skills in a recent Japan’s poll.

Japanese actress Ito Misaki

I have been a fan of Misaki even before she became hugely popular with “Densha Otoko.” I think that she is cute, but just a decent actress… but the worst? I don’t think so.

Btw, Ito Misaki is currently in Hawaii filming for a new movie. I guess she couldn’t be bothered with some little polls.

Japanese actor Takuya Kimura and actress Takako Matsu is in Pusan, Korea to film their movie “Hero.”

Hero the movie is a special edition of 2001 popular same title TV drama, which star Takuya as an attorney and Takako his assistant. Takuya and Takako are arguably the most popular Japanese on-screen couple over the past decade; they starred in a few TV dramas and all of those dramas were great hits.

The making of the movie has gathered huge media attention in Japan, and now getting huge coverage in Korea as well, thanks to Korean star Lee Byung-hun (left of the pic), who is starring in the movie as Takuya’s nemesis if not mistaken.

Twinkle, a song by Taiwanese artist Show Luo and Japanese pop diva Koda Kumi…

I am not a big fan for both of them, and I don’t like the music video (the song is decent though). Just felt that I should share this video; it’s not often seeing 2 big names from Taiwan and Japan singing together.

Megan Lai appointed Japan Tourism AmbassadorTaiwanese actress and model Megan Lai is appointed as Japan tourism ambassador to promote Japan tourism in Taiwan.

Megan was officially appointed by a Japanese minister in Tokyo; replacing supermodel Lin Zhi Ling who held the role for the past couple of years.

Lin Zhi Ling is currently involved in her debut movie, “The Battle of Red Cliff,” which is expected to finish filming no sooner than October 2007.

A fan-made video featuring clips from popular Japanese drama “Densha Otoko” (starring Ito Misaki and Atsushi Ito). The song “You’re Beautiful” is from British singer James Blunt.

Good drama, lovely song… but what I really like about this video is how the author matched the lyric and the clips nicely, as if it’s a mini-drama of its own. Bravo.

Japanese actress Shibasaki KouHong Kong actor/director Stephen Chow will be co-producing a Japanese movie, “Shaolin Girl.”

Stephen’s popularity in Japan is high rising after the success of “Shaolin Soccer” and “Kungfu Hustle.” His popularity has prompted Fuji-TV to invite him to co-produce the movie, with Shibasaki Kou (pic) the leading actress.

The movie is about an ice-hockey player (Shibasaki Kou) who went to China’s Shaolin Temple to learn Kungfu and blended martial arts with ice-hockey.

A few co-actors in Shaolin Soccer will be featuring in the movie as well.
