Hong Kong actor Gallen Lo will be starring in a TVB series, “When a Dog Loves a Cat” (unconfirmed title) after leaving the company for 4 years.
Gallen is one of HK’s most popular TV actors, but decided to leave TVB (HK’s largest TV station) years ago and try his luck in China instead.
This series might really be Gallen’s last TVB series though; reports said that he actually ‘owed’ TVB 10-episodes of TV series from his old contract, and thus coming back to fulfill his commitment. It seems unlikely that Gallen will sign a new contract with TVB.
Well, good to have him back, even for just one series. He is a good actor.
“Rush Hour 3″ made its premiere on July 30 in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Director Brett Ratner and the main cast of Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Zhang Jingchu, Hiroyuki Sanada and Youki Kudoh have attended the event.
Season 2 of the hit KBS drama series ‘Full House’ is in the making. [KBS]
Casting will begin this year and the drama will be filmed and aired next year. The director has yet to be decided and it’s unclear whether Rain and Song Hye-kyo will be recast.
I think the producers will do their best to lure Rain and Hye-kyo for the sequel; and I think both the stars should accept it. Rain’s concert has not been going well recently, and SHK’s movie venture is not really a success… a hit season 2 for Full House would bring their popularity to peak again.
Well, off course nobody can guarantee that the sequel will be as successful… but I think it’s worth a try definitely.

The crowing of Cheung Ka Yi as Miss Hong Kong 2007 has sparked huge debates online… mostly voices of disapproval… some are calling her the ugliest Miss HK in 20 years.
Many people believe that her crowning was a publicity stunt by the organizers, as Cheung was never a serious candidate for the title… she was not even rated as a dark horse.
I don’t think she is ugly, nor pretty… she looks just ok, like some normal girls we see everyday… but come on, Miss Hong Kong? Call me shallow if you want to, I have to agree with most netizens that she is probably not the right choice.

I have some problem with my sound card at the moment, so I am not sure if this video is in the original Chinese or English; I have never heard of an English version though… perhaps it’s just a sub.
Hong Kong veteran singer Jacky Cheung is selected to run in the Beijing Olympic torch relay on May 2, 2008.
Jacky is recommended by Coca-Cola (one of the major sponsors) to take part in the relay; he is probably the only Hong Kong artist that has been confirmed to participate in the meaningful event at the moment.
A total of 120 torch runners will take part in the Hong Kong relay; each of them will be running a short distance of around 200 metres.
