Korean pop star BoA’s 6th album, “The Face” has top the Japanese Oricon chart after its release on Feb 27.
BoA’s previous 5 albums had also topped the chart before; she is only the 2nd artist to have had 6 albums topping the chart in a role. The other pop star that have managed to do so is Ayumi Hamasaki with 8 consecutive chart-topping albums.

god, i don’t know what’s all the hype about with boa. i have 2 of her early albums and they’re not great albums. i only like 2 songs out of each albums….but whatever. i know lots of stupid people who like everything and anything korean, japanese, blah blah. whatever though.

jane, the hype with BoA had already lowered since a long time ago. you can’t expect every song from an album to be good. and since you said you have her earlier albums, you should notice that her more recent music had improved and included more different styles. i also know some people who are like how you described as “stupid”. but i don’t think you should call them stupid. sometimes people just get addicted to things. and that feeling could be only conditional. they’ll probably change overtime and begin to like other things too.
