Korean star Lee Jun-ki is officially a member of Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), one of the largest entertainment conglomerates in Hong Kong and China. EEG will manage his career in Chinese region (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan).
Veteran Japanese pop duo Chage and Aska is having a concert in Shanghai on November 17. The duo was in Shanghai on Saturday (Sep 29) to meet the press and fans to promote the concert.
Chage and Aska have been singing since early 80s, and are one of the all time best selling Japanese artists. Their career peaked in the early 90s, but started to fade in mid-90s.
Chage and Aska are quite popular in Chinese region, thanks to their songs that have been remade into Chinese version and sang by famous stars like Emil Chau and Rene Liu etc.
I first learned about them from one of Emil’s song, and I was one of Chage and Aska fans. In fact I bought one of their compilation albums when I was young… not sure where the tape has gone though.

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has migrate to Hong Kong under HK’s Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS).
I am not sure if ‘migrate’ is the right word… Hong Kong is part of China afterall. There are a few advantages for Ziyi to move to Hong Kong though; one of the benefits is the ease of travelling overseas (which she does quite often)… some countries have different entry requirements (visa etc.) for mainland China residents and Hong Kong residents.
Korean actress Lee Da-hae was in Thailand for a short visit (Sep 11-14). She held a fans meeting on Sep 14 in Bangkok (pic), and has visited an orphanage earlier on Sep 12…
Lee Da-hae is well known in Thailand for her role in Korean drama “My Girl”.
