Ella Chen of Taiwanese girls group S.H.E has released an EP for charity cause; she is donating all her royalties and profits from the EP to care centers for homeless animals.

Hollywood star Owen Wilson is hospitalized on Sunday Afternoon (August 26); some reports have suggested that Wilson has attempted suicide… it’s said that Wilson had sliced his left wrist and taken some pills.
The 38-year-old actor was admitted to St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica and was later transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Wilson hasn’t respond directly to the rumour yet, but asked for some privacy instead… “I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time,” the actor said in a statement released by his publicist on Monday.

Taiwanese artist Ella Chen (from S.H.E) is voted Taiwan’s most beautiful lady in a recent poll, beating the likes of supermodel Lin Zhi Ling etc.
Ella herself is surprised by the results and attributes the ’success’ to her fans. The result has caused quite some debate though, as fans are accusing each other for cheating and abusing the voting system… (I am not sure how the voting works)
The poll was organized by a local paper and the voting was held for a total of 25 days. Ella tops the poll with 5844 votes, 699 ahead of Lin Zhi Ling. China star Liu Yifei is at 11 spot, but is the top non-Taiwanese artist on the poll.
Martial arts master Wu Bin attended an Olympic promotion event on Thursday (August 23)…

You might not know who he is, but his apprentices will sure raise some eyebrows… Jet Li, Donnie Yen and Wu Jing etc. Most people should know about Jet Li; Westerners might not be too familiar with Donnie and Wu Jing, but they are quite famous in Chinese region.
Hollywood actor Josh Harnett is working with host of A-list Asian stars in his next movie, “I come with the Rain.”
The Asian stars include Japanese hunk Takuya Kimura (pic right), Korean star Lee Byung-hun (pic left) and Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu Shawn Yue.

Josh is starring as a detective that is mentally disturbed after capturing a serial killer. He is assigned to help a Japanese to find his missing son (Takuya Kimura) and encountered various situations in Asia.
Lee Byung-hun is playing a Hong Kong gangster; Daniel Shawn’s role is not revealed, but I am guessing that he is a policeman in Hong Kong helping Harnett in his case.
Josh, Lee and Shawn are currently filming the movie in Hong Kong; Takuya Kimura will be joining them in early September.
Update - it seems that Daniel Wu has to pull out from the filming because of injury; his role is taken by Shawn Yue instead.
“King of Kungfu” (or “Forbidden Kingdom”), the movie starring both Jet Li and Jackie Chan, is scheduled to premiere on May 1, 2008.
The filming of the movie is set to complete by end of the month (August 28). It’s reported that Jet has finished filming his part and is joining the production of another movie “Mummy 3″ instead; while Jackie and other main cast still need a few more days to complete their scenes.
Update - I read from other news that May 1 is the release date in China; the film might be released earlier in US and other places in April.
