Korean actress Son Ye-jin will star as a pickpocket in her next movie.
The movie is about the combat between the Korean police and an organized pickpocket gang. Son Ye-jin is starring as one of the gang leader who often used her sexiness to charm her prey. The drama happens when Son fell in love with one of the inspector (starring Kim Myung-min) that is fighting against her…
This is the first movie from Son Ye-jin since “Art of Seduction” in 2005. Hopefully this will be a good movie.
Korean pop star Kangta is starring in a Chinese drama alongside Chinese stars Eva Huang, Huang Jue and Kristy Yung etc.
The drama has just started filming yesterday; Kangta and Eva were asked to dress in traditional Chinese wedding costume in a press meeting…

I am not too sure about the drama title yet; it should be a simple comedic + romantic drama, about the love stories of 3 sisters from the ‘Ting’ family.
Korean comedian Park Kyung-lim is married to her non-celebrity boyfriend (or should I say hubby?) on Sunday (July 15). There are probably in honeymoon now at the romantic getaway of Bali.

David Duchovny, famous for his Agent Mulder role in popular 1990s series “The X-Files” has said that a second movie adaptation of the movie is in progress and should be released in 2008.
Chris Carter, the producer of The X-Files series, is going to make his directing debut with the movie. Gillian Anderson, who played Agent Scully, is expected to star in the new movie too.
I am a great fan of X-Files (the series), but their first movie adaptation in 1998 was quite disappointing for me. It is nice to see the team working on a movie again, hope that they will produce something memorable this time.
Japanese stars Ayumi Hamasaki and Tomoya Nagase have officially split. Ayumi announced the news on her personal website, while both artists’ agencies have confirmed the news as well.

Chinese star Crystal Liu Yifei is busy filming “King of Kungfu” with Jackie Chan and Jet Li… and the latest news……… her mum will be starring in the movie as well.

According to some reports, Yifei’s mother will be starring in a small role as a goddess. In fact it’s more like a cameo role; she will only have one line of words in the movie, and Yifei will not be appearing in that particular shot… too bad, it would be fun.
Yifei’s mother was a famous stage performer when she was young, so I guess she won’t have any problem facing the camera.

Korean actress Choi Ji-woo makes a disastrous comeback into drama acting; her latest TV drama “Air City” has ended with a 9.4% (or 10.7% according to another stat) rating for its final episode in Korea.

Air City is Choi’s first Korean drama in 3 years; she was (perhaps still is) one of the most popular Korean actress after starring in a few popular TV dramas like Winter Sonata and Stairway to Heaven etc.
Air City however performed poorly since its premiere in May. A good Korean drama would have a rating of over 20%; whereas super-popular shows like “Dae Jang Geum” (Jewel of the Palace) had an average rating close to 50%… an around 10% rating is really a disappointment considering the cast they have in the drama.
Korean press has analyzed the ‘failure’ for lack of storyline despite an interesting background of the aviation industry. Some critics claimed that the drama was too focus in love tangle and ignore the other potential plots.
The theme song for the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), featuring popular stars Andy Lau, Alan Tam, Leo Ku, Kelly Chen, Hacken Lee, Joey Yung, Eason Chan, Twins, Warren Mok, Wan Fai-yan and the Hong Kong Children’s Choir (credits to RAYHO500).
I have some problem with my sound card at the moment, so I am not sure if this video is in the original Chinese or English; I have never heard of an English version though… perhaps it’s just a sub.
It’s a Cantonese MV…
