Korean pop star Lee Hyori was in Japan for series of event. She was in SG Wanna Be’s Japan concert on June 3, and then attended press conference for her latest TV drama “If In Love Like Them” on June 4.

Japanese press named Hyori the ‘next Koda Kumi’… not sure if it’s a good thing; I am never a fan of Koda Kumi although she is the top Japanese pop star at the moment.

She is pretty but i think she is somewhat overrated. As far as talent goes I think Korea has some much better musicians. But if you look at her as a pop idol type I guess you can compare her to them. Though I think they are much more talented.

jack… I won’t disagree that there are better artist and musicians when it comes to real talent. Hyori and her company know how to package her as a pop star though… lots of the time the packaging is more important than pure talent in the entertainment world.

A beautiful girl is a beautiful girl regardless of how light or dark her skin is imo. I personally think Hyori is just a good looking gal. I’m sure that she may spend a little time in the tanning bed some as well. It’s not unheard of these days. :D But I see nothing wrong with the light-skinned Korean girls either. I love looking at all pretty women!!!! :)

most asian celebrities (esp taiwanese, like angela) tend to be TOO skinny… like sticks… but while hyori is skinny, she actually has some flesh/muscle on her.
it makes her (or anyone) looks more real and healthy…

sun ya… true, lots of Chinese (China, HK, Taiwan) celebs are too skinny. Not just Hyori, Korean artists in general seem to keep a more healthy image and balance weight instead of going for the extreme.

Hyori is (in terms of looks) one of the hottest females in the world IMO.. she is absolutely gorgeous… especially when she smiles and how her eyes have that perfect curve… a perfect 10 for me :D

I have to agree with Ms. Timid. Lee dong gun was fantistic in If in love like them, but Lee Hyori ruined it. But I still recommend it because it has a very touching ending…..

What can I say, looks are what sells first in the entertainment industry, hate to say but it’s true! I mean, she doesn’t have the best talent but gosh, give her a chance, she ’s still very young and still has a lot of time to improve on certain issues but otherwise, she is HOT!
