Japan TV station FujiTV is filming TV drama Hana Kimi, based on popular manga “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” by Hisaya Nakajo.
Taiwan has produced the drama in 2006, starring Ella Chen and Wu Chun etc. and achieved great ratings. Perhaps the success has prompted Fujitv to make the Japanese version as well.
The Japanese Hana Kimi will star Maki Origita, Shun Oguri and Toma Ikuta.

Hana-Kimi centers on Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese girl who lives in the United States. One day, she sees a track and field competition on TV, and becomes attracted to one of the competitors, Izumi Sano, competing in the high jump.
She begins to idolize the young athlete and eventually transfers to Japan to attend the same school that Sano attends. There is a catch, however– Sano attends an all-boys high school, named Osaka Gakuen, and Mizuki must disguise herself as a boy to enter.

Wow! the japanese version was so cool!… I just wish that the hana kimi 2 japanese version`s casts will be the same.. Um, Nakatsu is fun,funky and cool. I wish good ratings on HANA KIMI 2!!!!!!!!…

I absolutely loved the taiwan version of hana kimi! I didn’t really like Ella in the beginning, but she really grew on me. She was hilarious! I really can’t wait for the 2nd movie! I also think that Wu Zun is extremely hot! I wish that the movie would come out right now!

I love the Japanese version of Hana Kimi. It has a certain crisp quality to it. Who else would be better to carry out a Japanese manga than the Japanese themselves? It’s not just acting or casting, it’s basically the culture that’s embedded in both the manga and the series that gives that special edge to the Japanese series. I believe that the whole ensemble of the Japanese version did well. The Japanese actors may not be as pretty as Wu Chun (No offense to Wu Chun fans, but I find him too pretty for a guy), but they were able to carry out their roles well. The Japanese are not afraid to cast ordinary-looking actors, as long as they can do justice to their character. Smooth transitions between episodes are also evident and as always, Japanese series are not as dragging as other asian dramas.

in my opinion.. i like the taiwanese version… sorry.. just my opinion.. i really love the ella and wu chun pairing! jiro is soo funny! hehehe.. :) i hope there will be hana kimi season 2 but.. sad news.. they canceled it! waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! hate that director! a lot of people are waiting for the season 2! huhuhuhu… :(

i think the japanese version of hana kimi is WAY better.
the characters are all cuter in the jap version and the storyline is so much more funnier and interesting in comparison to the taiwan one.

well, the taiwanese version of hana kimi is much better because the experiences have some love relationships, friendships etc. but because of this we might be attracted to their qualities that may affect our good qualities of us filipinos if there are filipinos writing here. we must not destrpy our ability to do our best to be our dreamworks like the greatest being a superstar right? Lets do our best to achieve our dreamworks.
