Japan TV station FujiTV is filming TV drama Hana Kimi, based on popular manga “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” by Hisaya Nakajo.
Taiwan has produced the drama in 2006, starring Ella Chen and Wu Chun etc. and achieved great ratings. Perhaps the success has prompted Fujitv to make the Japanese version as well.
The Japanese Hana Kimi will star Maki Origita, Shun Oguri and Toma Ikuta.

Hana-Kimi centers on Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese girl who lives in the United States. One day, she sees a track and field competition on TV, and becomes attracted to one of the competitors, Izumi Sano, competing in the high jump.
She begins to idolize the young athlete and eventually transfers to Japan to attend the same school that Sano attends. There is a catch, however– Sano attends an all-boys high school, named Osaka Gakuen, and Mizuki must disguise herself as a boy to enter.

oo,there’s d 2nd hana kimi?..well,i’m just about to watch the 1st one today..though i can find hana kimi at d cd shop,i think it’s better to watch it on tv rather than spending more than RM100 just to watch it earlier than anybody else..^_^

lol, when i first heard about Hanakimi, it totally sprang to my head: ‘Asian version of “She’s the Man”!’
haven’t seen the drama yet but the sound track is quite a good listen^^

hana kimi is hilarious.wu zun is hot!i just recently bought the manga so i kind of kno what’s gonna happen cuz i watched the drama 1st.in the beginning you might not like the girl who plays the main character,but she’s really cool.at first i didn’t like her,but now she has become one of my most fave actresses.go ella!i can’t wait for hana kimi 2.

i have heard that it is confirmed there wil b 2nd drama it wil start filming the end of this year or ealry next. i hope it wil b as good as the first one and have more wu zun and ella moments! dey r soooooo cute!!!

i never like the taiwanese version because Ella is sooo gay (in my opinion).
But hey, it’s Hana-Kimi, I love the manga, must watch it.
So, right now, I’m overjoyed to hear that Japan is making one.
Hirokiti Maki is such a cute/sweet looking girl, and could look a guy part w/o being overly musculine and all with few adjustments, be guy.
On the other hand, Shun Oguri, one of my honey-pies in my life, so I claim him to be, is gonna be there..and also Mizushima Hiro (♥♥♥!). And of course, probably more hot Japanese men, hopefully. Exciting!

bytheway, only the hot guys in the taiwanese version made me happy,, at least the guys aren’t ugly.. seems to me, that they’re more beautiful than the girls. prettier than me and sis “probably”..♥ kekeke (sadness) Lol.

Been watching Hana Kimi…… find it so refreshing…. storyline, etc so relaxed, and happy… a big difference to the standard run-of-the-mill serious type of romantic drama. Besides the new faces of this new bunch of the ators are a welcome sight. Great acting too !!

In my opinion the Taiwanese version is the super best!!! Starring Ella and Wu Zun. Japanese version is a copy of the taiwanese drama version. The Japanese version is garbage!!!
