Korean drama “Air City” is scheduled to premiere on May 19 in Korea. This is the 1st Korean drama in 3 years from popular actress Choi Ji-woo, and was highly anticipated since the making of the drama was announced.
The drama made a special preview for the press on Monday (May 14); the main cast of (from right to left) Lee Jun-jae, Choi Ji-woo, Lee Jin-wook and Mong Jung-hee were at the event…

She is around 175cm if not mistaken… I think its quite average among Asian artists. Besides, ladies could wear high heels to bump a few cm taller :)

I don’t care about those ratings. I’m sure Air city will do better internationally because of the good storyline which was very much different from the regular melodramatic drama, too much crying. This drama has action, romance, comedy & less crying. Maybe, that’s why it didn’t get good writing because people in Korea is used to those sad crying scenes. I read that this drama was the number 1 most watched in the internet when it was being aired in Korea. I love Choi Ji Woo, Lee Jin Wook & Lee Jung Jae in this drama, good acting. Power to all three of you. I hope they continue this series. How about Air City #2? Just get a better script writer.

I doubt that they are making AC2… Ji-woo might have a strong fan base internationally, but the rest of the cast are not really popular outside of Korea.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Lee Jung-jae is a good actor… but he is not really famous for all the K-dramas.

I don’t think it’s a failure at all. Maybe it’s low rating based on Choi Ji Woo’s standard because she had very high ratings on Beautiful Days, Winter Sonata & Stairway to Heaven. But with mostly 2-digit ratings, Air City did real well compared to Bad Love & Robbers in South Korea. I love Air City & had watched it quite a few times. It’s full of action, romance, comedy & little bit melodrama. It has it all. It’s very modern genre similar to CSI. Lee Jung Jae & Lee Jin Wook will be popular outside Korea. Most of Choi Ji Woo’s leading men became very popular outside South Korea, like Bae Yong Joon, Kwon Sang Woo, Ryu Shi Won, Song Seung Hun & Lee Byung Hun.
