Ito Misaki is voted as the Japanese actress with worst acting skills in a recent Japan’s poll.
I have been a fan of Misaki even before she became hugely popular with “Densha Otoko.” I think that she is cute, but just a decent actress… but the worst? I don’t think so.
Btw, Ito Misaki is currently in Hawaii filming for a new movie. I guess she couldn’t be bothered with some little polls.

I guess it’s fair to say that among the A-list actress, Misaki probably is the one that need the most improvement in acting… besides, celebrities need to be famous to be the ‘worst’, so I guess she is not dong too bad :)

This is outrageous! Worst Japanese actress? Come on. If you have seen her in Densha Otoko (as I’m sure most of you have) and then watch Kiken na Aneki, you’ll notice that her performance in both are completely different - one with class and a little reserved and the other out-going and fun-loving. But she plays them both brilliantly. She lovely to watch.

Not much details about the movie… what I know is that it’s based on the real life story of a famous Japanese surfer, who died of cancer if not mistaken.
I had a peek at its official website, but I forgot the URL… there is nothing much on the website though, I think it’s only a page that say something like “coming soon” in Japanese.

I would really like to see who was conducting this poll and what other actresses were on this poll. Ms. Ito-san is an up and coming A list star who seems to be getting more roles than other A listers. If she is so bad, than she wouldn’t be getting this much work. She is a very good actress and in time will be one of the very best. With that being said, let me just restate the obvious in that she is sooo hot!!!!

@ Mel ooo…Misaki-chan is not an up and coming A star…she is already an established A list star. Since Yummy himself doesn’t have the poll link, guess it s maybe some jealous fan one…so really is not important.

Just to remind you guys, Maison Ikkoku is on tomorrow night on TV Asahi in Japan. Although people outside Japan would probably not catch it live, there is always d-addicts…
Until we have seen Maison Ikkoku, only then shall we think of anything about her acting skills. Be it bad or good.

Well, they’re saying its true to the anime. So, that sounds promising enough even though i’ve never seen the anime before. But apart from this show other dramas that are currently showing doesn’t seem very appealing to me. I know this is a one-off show, but if you ask me i would rather get this than get anything else.

Densha… it’s hard to define; she doesn’t have the long hair like those shampoo models, but not as short as a tomboy… normally it’s about the shoulder range.

I’m a big Misaki fan. She’s beautiful as an angel. But I do think that she needs some training in acting. She was great in Densha Otoko and Kiken na Aneki. But she was…poor in Sapuri. Why is that??????

Time to get real… celebrities don’t look great all the time.
Some of them might be horrible without the makeups… most of them look just like a simple person without the stardom. I have seen pictures of Misaki without makeup… and she is just like a girl that you might meet in the street or in a library.

I am currently working on a article featuring Misaki ito for possible publication in a UK magazine. I’d like to contact Ken-on Talent Agency who Misaki is signed to but have not had much luck with contact details as their website does not have any. Hmm I like itoh Misaki, however I have to admit her performance in Maison Ikkoku was quite disappointing. Really good in Densha and liked Sapuri though I think certain types of characters (career orientated) are more suited for her.
