Veteran singer Olivia Newton John was in Taiwan to promote her Asia-wide concert, and was interviewed by popular Taiwanese news anchor Patty Ho.
Olivia was happy to meet Patty, praising her beauty and cuteness; and was surprise that Patty is still single and available.

Olivia was sooo hot when she was young. She was every guy’s heartthrob in America. Very pretty Aussie singer in her prime.
A breast cancer survivor also.

She is pretty legendary… I am not sure if she is still as popular these days. Good to know that people still remember who she is though lol.

Oh yeah, people still remember her. Had a very full career with all the hit songs she had in the seventies and early eighties, and acting in movies like “Grease”, and “Xanadu”. She was pretty much a superstar in her day.

Lol, well Olivia was big back before some here were even born. And unless you listen to and are familiar with alot of American hit songs from the mid to late 70’s, and a little of the early 80’s then you probably won’t know much of her if your under 25. :P

Yep, and that’s just the thing. Alot of youngsters don’t know about alot of popular singers from 20 to 30 years ago that still can sing a good song and perform, because the media and the record companies don’t promote them anymore. It takes special guest appearances like that on American Idol to let the young people hear them. And then people are surprised when some of these youngsters like them. Or they say, “oh I didn’t know she sang that”.That’s why alot of those older artists are signing with independent labels cause the majors think only the new acts are worth working with.
In the U.S. radio staions that play nothing but seventies and eighties music are becoming more and more popular. Alot of young people get to know music by people like Olivia through listening to those stations, if Mom and Dad haven’t already introduced them to it. :D
Olivia Newton John did some of the best pop music around in her day and her voice was just about one of the smoothest and prettiest you’d ever hear.
