Aussie star Kylie Minogue is in Shanghai to attend some promotional functions; and wore a Qipao to one of the event.
The dress is fine, but I think her hair is just plain weird; the Chinese press seemed pretty happy with her attempt though.

Eh, I love Qipaos (cheongsams), but I like them best on Asian girls. Although, Kirstin Dunst wore hers very nicely in Spiderman.
And I agree, that hairstyle is just weird.

It’s not easy to wear a qipao nicely, the girls need to have nice curves.
Western girls generally have wider shoulders, and bigger upper body… that would be a challenge for the tailors to make a nice cheongsam for them. Dunst wore it nicely, agreed.
