It’s reported that Emma Watson has refused to sign a new contract to star in the next Harry Potter movie.
The 16-year-old British actress is said to be tired of her role as Hermione Granger (Harry Poster’s best friend) and wants to try new projects.
The final 2 movies of the J.K. Rowling’s fantasy series, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” are due to start filming later this year.
Popular all-girls J-pop group “Morning Musume” welcomes their 1st (and 2nd) non-Japanese members to the group.
The 2 latest members of the band are Li Chun (李純, 19, pic on our left) and Qian Lin (銭琳, 16) from China.

Morning Musume (@ Morning Girls, @ Mōningu Musume etc.) is an interesting project by “Hello Project” agency. The members of the group are mostly teens, and are constantly reshuffled with older members retiring from the group (normally at around age 20) to expand their solo career (if chances are granted), while new members are constantly added to refill the spots.
Morning Musume has been very popular in Japan for the last decade, but I can’t recall any of its ‘retirees’ doing particularly well after going solo. A few Japanese superstars are however discovered from their auditions, such as Koda Kumi, Aya Matsuura and Mai Kuraki etc.

American movie star Angelina Jolie adopted her fourth child on Thursday (March 15), a Vietnamese boy from a Ho Chi Minh City orphanage.
Government officials said the boy was renamed Pax Thien Jolie and is almost three-and-a-half years old.
I am a bit confused with Jolie’s move actually. It’s a good thing to adopt a child, but doesn’t US have children waiting to be adopted as well? Jolie might have a good reason to adopt 3 children from different nations, raising international awareness or something… but I just don’t get it.
Anyhow, as long as the adopted kids are well taken care off, I guess there is nothing bad for the adoptions. Have a nice future ahead Pax Thien.

Exchange Love has been highly anticipated for grouping the same main cast and crew from superhit drama “Devil Beside You,” including actors Mike He, Rainie Yang and Kingone Wang (our right to left)…

Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat will play the role of a Muslim woman in her second Hollywood film “Unveiled” to be directed by Bill Bannerman.
I first noticed Sherawat in Jackie Chan’s “The Myth,” where she played a minor but eye-catching role. Reports mentioned that The Myth was her first Hollywood movie, but I doubt that it should be classified as a Hollywood production.
This is a picture of Mallika Sherawat with Jackie Chan and Stanley Tong (director of The Myth)…

Mexican actress Salma Hayek is engaged to French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault and is pregnant with their first child.
The Pinault family is one of the richest in France. Their company PPR is specialized in retail shops and luxury brands. I bet most of you have heard of Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent? Yupe, it’s under PRR and the Pinault family.
Happy wedding to Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault, and have a healthy baby.
The cast and crew of “Slam Dunk” attended a function in Shanghai to announce the start of filming the movie.

Adapted from popular Japanese manga, Slam Dunk stars Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou, Hong Kong idol Charlene Choi, and others like Jacky Wu, Eric Tsang and Berlin Chen etc.
Slam Dunk the manga (manga = Japanese comic) is one of the all time best selling manga in Japan, and arguably the most popular manga ever in Asia region as well.
This is the first ever live action movie adaptation of the manga, so it’s highly anticipated by the manga fans.
