No Emma Watson in next Harry Potter movie?

British actress Emma WatsonIt’s reported that Emma Watson has refused to sign a new contract to star in the next Harry Potter movie.

The 16-year-old British actress is said to be tired of her role as Hermione Granger (Harry Poster’s best friend) and wants to try new projects.

The final 2 movies of the J.K. Rowling’s fantasy series, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” are due to start filming later this year.

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the fantasy franchise, tells British newspaper the News of the World, “Emma doesn’t want to do it anymore. She’s tired of being known as that girl from Harry Potter.”

Warner Brothers has confirmed that Emma has not signed the contract yet, but is confident that she will decide to join the filming soon.

Hope that Emma will take the role, it’s the final installments anyway, and she will have plenty of time to make whatever movies she likes after that.

Update: It has been confirmed that Emma has signed the contract and will star in the next (and final) 2 Potter movies.
