The cast and crew of “Slam Dunk” attended a function in Shanghai to announce the start of filming the movie.
Adapted from popular Japanese manga, Slam Dunk stars Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou, Hong Kong idol Charlene Choi, and others like Jacky Wu, Eric Tsang and Berlin Chen etc.
Slam Dunk the manga (manga = Japanese comic) is one of the all time best selling manga in Japan, and arguably the most popular manga ever in Asia region as well.
This is the first ever live action movie adaptation of the manga, so it’s highly anticipated by the manga fans.

hi,I’m from the philippines I’m one of the big fun of slam dunk I hope that the slam dunk reigning will more become exiting because I love play basketball and the story of the slam dunk which a unknown(hanamichi sakuragi) player was becoming popular because of his athleticism I hope that the story will focused also on hanamichi because its very greet since the start of the story.I hope also that after this filming that the slam dunk fanatic here in the philippines may know that the slam dunk is continuing…ok thanks and more power to the slam dunk…yehey……
