this shouldnt get blamed on chi ling ling
isnt terry at fault here

1. if terry asked, its common courtesy to say yes to a dance. of course, you could say no, but tango dancing isnt even dirty. she’s just pretty and thats why her poses look too sexy

2. if it was in the program, than it was part of the show. she didn’t plan it out

3. why is it wrong to call someone a “good man”?

4. i’m pretty sure she DIDNT want to dance with him and that the leg touching was his idea

well:

1. terry’s rich. he made his money. so dude, let him spend it as he pleases
2. director tsai is most likely just jealous he wasnt invitied. however its pretty rude to criticise anyone (terry and his guests) in retribution. not to mention, its damn right immature.
3. if “award winning” director tsai really is nearly as concerned as he says he is about the poor and starving, why doesnt he donate USD$20mil of his own which im sure he can afford without a doubt.

Absolutely this news is already dead. Guys, Chiling said the news was exaggerated. She was just invited to host the occasion, the dance number was part of the routine. She is not a cheap person because She did was part of the event, after that — it’s over. Maybe some other people are quiet jealous enough because I can see the main point here is MONEY.
Chiling is working hard for her to earn $$$, She just recently finished Red Cliff and took the risk of not accepting any projects while filming. Again, the news is over. it’s dead. =)

Lin Chiling is intelligent enough to know what and whom she’ll be working with.

i saw this “dance” in the news, and it was kinda “cheap”, i must say. I mean people paid 20 million dollar for this dinner ,and all you get is a cheap tango from a slutty model & a dirty old men? Eww. What makes it even looked cheap is she’s not even a graceful dancer, i mean,really, it’s okay if she did that tango dance and was hired for her dancing skills, but clearly she was just hired because of~s whatever that old guy is looking :p If it was Rain, hello, the guy can groove & can dance, i would dance without a single penny. but the old man is ..never mind! I would also understand if she’s doing that in the movie, for a role, afterall it’s just “role-playing” & whatever it is you do in the movie, doesnt necessarily mean you’re like that~ cheap. But doing it on stage, live, wearing that mini-dress with a a whole bunch of rich dirty old men watching?Uh huh, that’s another story. And I agree, it would have been better if she’s dancing for charity,regardless if it looks “cheap”, but all the money goes to her pocket. she can do better than that. i’m sure she can earn that 1 million without being looked upon by those rich people like some cheap night club dancer.

As I mentioned it’s just my thinking from my cultural perspective, others could see it as normal thing… whereas in my culture, people are getting paid to dance in nightclubs; I couldn’t stop myself to relate Chiling in this case to the situation.

If Rain ask someone to dance, chances are any girl will happily accept it… Rain doesn’t need to pay that 1 million. Same for the rich fellow up there… if she ask Chiling to dance, and she accepts it, fine… I just think it’s odd to pay and to get paid for a dance.
