Anna’s life had been more dramatic than some soap operas.
Since her marriage to 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in 1994, Anna had been at the center of tabloids. Followed by Marshall’s dead, the decade long (still unsettled) inheritance court case, and the mysterious dead of his son Daniel Smith (with first husband)… and finally her death, it’s just so dramatic.
Her cause of death is still a mystery, with all sorts of rumors and speculations here and there. I couldn’t really care, just hope that she can finally find peace after death, and that her baby daughter will be well taken care of.

Yes, I read about this when the news broke that she collasped. They rushed her off to a hospital after her bodyguard couldn’t revive her. They said it wasn’t looking good… A few hours later they announced she died.
It’s really kind of sad, because this woman led a turbulent and troubled life from the start when her parents split up when she was a baby. She was raised by her mother, a deputy sheriff, untill dropping out of school in 11th grade and working in a fried chicken joint then finally going to work as a topless dancer in a strip club in Mexia, Texas, before going onto become famous.
Alot of people made fun of her throughout her years as a celebrity and she was never taken seriously as a human being. (Granted, she put herself in alot of the situations she got into). But, the girl had ambitions to become famous like Marilyn Monroe (her idol) and she was pursuing it the only way she really knew how…by being a sex object. It’s unfortunate that she got sucked into a lifestyle that to be honest, was bound to kill her. In that sense, I guess she was like Monroe who died at the young age of 36 from drug overdose.
The mysterious death of her 20 year old son Daniel four months ago was later found to have been due to a combination of low doses of methadone and two antidepressants in his system. He also had a genetically inherited congenital heart condition (believed also to have played a part in his mother’s death) which made him that much more supseptible to the reaction of the drugs together. (At 20, the boy had barely started his life). “Undoubtedly it will be found at the end of the day that drugs featured in her death as they did in the death of poor Daniel,” said a former attorney for Smith in the Bahamas, Michael Scott.
There is curently a dispute between her former boyfriend and her husband over the paternity of her 4 month old daughter. Anna Nicole was also still very much in grieving over the death of her son when she died.

One other thing that was reported was..
Smith attorney Ron Rale told The Associated Press that he had talked to her on Tuesday or Wednesday, and she had flu symptoms and a fever and was still grieving over her son. He dismissed claims her death was related to drugs as “a bunch of nonsense.”
This interested me because, although there is a very big probablity that drugs were involved in her death, the fact that this attorney said she had flu symptoms just a day before, doesn’t rule out that she may have died of something rare called “24 hour flu”.
I know about this firsthand because a friend of mine died of just such a thing. He had started coming down with something the night before. By the next morning he had developed ull blown flu symptoms, His wife took the kids shopping while he stayed home all that day. When she got back to their apartment that afternoon, she walked in and found him dead on the floor. It happened that quick after he had just started getting sick the day before.

Oh yeah, you can be sure movie rights were being discussed the minute she was reported to have collapsed. You’ll also see Anna Nicole paraphenalia hitting ebay almost immediately.(ie: autographs, original copies of her Playboy editions, old Guess Jeans ads that made her famous, etc etc, you name it.

Well, the autopsy has been released and i appears Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose of a sleeping medication and 8 other pain reliever medications. A viral infection that had developed from injecting the various perscription medications she was taking into her buttocks also contributed to her death.
She had also been on had been on several antidepressant and antianxiety drugs and had recently taken longevity medications, B12 and growth hormone. The detailed autopsy showed no evidence of disease.
One drug she was on called Chloral hydrate, is a sedative used to treat insomnia and alcohol withdrawal, relieve anxiety and ease post-surgery pain.
Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, said chloral hydrate is rarely prescribed and is known to be fatal if combined with certain other drugs — including the sedative Lorazepam, which the autopsy showed she was taking.
“It’s very toxic if you mix it with any other central nervous system depressant drugs,” Walls said. “You could get profound sedation leading up to coma and respiratory arrest.”
“We found nothing to indicate any foul play,” said Chief Charlie Tiger of the Seminole police department.
It was strictly an accidental death.
Sounds to me like the doctors who were perscribing all of this to her have some explaining to do imo. Especially if they had her taking chloral hydrate which they said is known to be deadly when mixed with the other stuff they had her on. There’s no way this woman could know all this by herself.

I think it’s common sense not to overdose… even a few extra tablets of painkillers could kill.
Anyhow… just hope that she could rest in peace.

True, I agree. And I hate to say, but it’s doubtful Anna had alot of common sense going for her.
However, it sounds like the mixture of drugs rather than the amount was the key factor according to the news. (ie: the chloral hydrate mixed with the othe stuff mentioned). She wouldn’t know too much about those lethal combinations as well as just trusting what the doctors are prescribing to her.
It reminds me of when Elvis died. The doctor he was seeing was brought under investigation for the very same thing. They questioned his mixing and prescribing of certain drugs, that were really not good to be taking together.

anna has passed away.. its sad coz she was never really hapy. but we thev world loved her and we are gonna miss her specialness. the hearts she touched will never lose the feeling of love. i just hope she finds rest at last and to her daughter, ur mum was speciall. grow up responsible and we will pray for u.
