Taiwan artist Vivian Hsu has her contract renewed as product ambassador for famous body care brand, Biotherm.

Taiwan pop-star Angela Zhang celebrated her 25th birthday with fans on January 18 (real b’day on 19) in Taipei.
Angela’s new year wishes are that she and her fans will have a healthy year, and her March concert will be successful, and getting a boyfriend.

Angela has also just released her 4th and latest album on January 12, “Flower In The Wonderland.” So it’s a double celebration for Angela perhaps :)

China actress Fan Bingbing receives great attention from Japanese press when she’s promoting movie “Battle of Wits” in Tokyo, Japan recently.
The press is fond of her multi-talents and beauty, and the media coverage she received was only comparable by Zhang Ziyi among younger generation of China actresses.
Fan Bingbing was already quite popular in Japan with her commercial advertisements and some other movies; and Battle of Wits is set to boost her fame in the region.

Donald Trump, US business tycoon and producer/host for reality TV show “The Apprentice,” has got the 2327th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame reserved for him.
It’s a bit odd actually; I used to think that the Walk of Fame is meant for really great Hollywood stars…
I mean… how is Donald Trump going to be comparable to the likes of Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe and other great artists?
Don’t get me wrong, I like The Apprentice, it’s a good show; and Donald Trump can be a genuinely great fellow… but I feel that he does not deserve to be on Walk of Fame yet.
Rain ended his Hong Kong concerts after 3 consecutive nights (January 12-14) of performances.
Rain was unlucky to injured his arm on his 2nd concert, and his pain was clearly felt in the 3rd concert when he ad couldn’t perform part of his solo dance and had to stay rested for a minute in the mid of the concert… but he still managed to finish the concert with huge applaud from the crowd.
Hong Kong veteran actor Walter Cho Tat Wah (曹达华) passed in London at the age of 91. Cho was admitted to hospital last week for stomach bleeding, and passed away on January 13.
Cho started acting in 1930s and has been starring in over 700 movies. Cho is famous for his role in various wuxia movies (Chinese titles: 如來神掌 and 黄飞鸿 etc.) in 50s and 60s.
Cho is also famous with his role as Inspector Wah (华探长) in the 70s and 80s. Lots of his later movies are cameo roles as a chief police officer or chief detective.
Bollywood movie stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are engaged and will marry later this year.

Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai is arguably the most well-known Indian actress in the world.
The Western press has dubbed the celebrity couple as Bollywood’s equal to Hollywood’s Brangelina (Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie).
Lee Young-ae topped a recent joint poll by Korean radio station SBS’s “Love FM” as the ‘most trustable product spokesperson’ in Korea.

Korean pop star Rain received his first souvenior from Hong Kong… a speeding ticket from the Hong Kong traffic police.

To be precise, it’s Rain’s driver that’s getting the ticket.
It happened on Thursday (January 11) when Rain and his crews were on their way to AsiaWorld-Expo, where he is going to held his HK concert on January 12-14, and his car was caught speeding on the famous Tsing Ma Bridge.
