The mysterious man who’s Zhang Ziyi’s latest boyfriend finally revealed… he is Aviv ‘Vivi’ Nevo, an Israeli and one of the richest man in New York.
There are some early speculations about “who is the man?” Some said he is a French actor, some said he is a neighbour of US president George Bush… but the latest Chinese reports indicate that he is indeed New York investment mogul Vivi Nevo.
I bet Vivi Nevo is fast becoming China #1 public enemy after the release of this photo lol…
A bit more about Vivi Nevo… he is a venture capitalist, one of the largest shareholders of Time Warner (one of the largest media firm in the world); he was spotted going out with Kate Moss (UK supermodel) and rumored to be seeing Jeisa Chiminazzo (Brazilian supermodel).
Reports also said that Vivi Nevo is just 41, but he sure looks much older than that… he needs a stylist and some plastic surgery seriously if he’s just 41.

First off Laura, get this into your, to borrow the term in the post above, “colonized” head (if you can) – Ziyi is a celebrity and by that she will always be in the public eye. She will be subjected to public scrutiny whether she likes it or not. She cannot expect the media or anyone to always write good reports about her and not negative ones. That comes with being a celebrity. Take the Edison Chen scandal for example, I for one, would definitely like to hear you defend Edison Chen. Lets hear it laura. Lets hear you say that it is nobody’s right to criticise him because it is nobody’s business who he sleeps with. Lets hear you say that only God can judge how pure Edison Chen is. Lets hear you say that it is his personal choice on how he wants to lead his life. Lets hear it laura, lets hear you support your own men.
As long as you appear on the big screen, what you do up there is no longer private anymore. you will be subjected to the paparazzi and the public eye. Gillian Chung is a role model of many young and impressionable teenagers because of her clean and wholesome image. Are you telling me that what she did with Edison Chen is nobody’s business and these kids should just ignore it? These kids are already asking questions about the scandal and they might even think that it is cool to take nude photos and sleep around with whoever they want to just because their idol, Gillian Chung does it.
You are very naive Laura. You have eyes but you dont percieve, you have a brain but you dont have insight, and you have a mouth but you dont know what you are talking about.
You underestimate the power of the media to influence your thinking and how you perceive yourself and others. You have been brainwashed and you dont even know it. When white men go out with asian women, do you even realize that they scoff at asian men at the same time? It is their way of undermining men of other races when they go out with colored women, and you think they are not racist when they go out with you? or is your mind so colonized that you dont even perceive that? and even turning your claws on your own people?
Oh by the way, you sure do have the right to date anyone you want, including a white man, but everyone else also reserve the right to make comments about it. It works both ways, Laura.

I think your argument went extended to the point of irrelevance. I believed that there is little moral issue involved with Xiyi’s dating with Vivi. It was very unpleasant to see how the unkind wish to be casted to her dating with Vivi. Then came with my two cents. Please stay on the track if you want to be a good debater. But I don’t think we could debate on the common ground as I am very insufficient.
If you think uneasy whenever you saw or think of a white man dating an Asian lady, you bet you might have a unsolved issue deep down inside of you rooted from the past.

The fact that you can’t even see any relevance is testament that you have a very simple-minded view of matters when there is obviously more than meets the eye. Whatever I have mentioned goes by my own observations and what others have experienced as well so I know its not just me, in fact , I have spoken with several others, even asian girls!) who have noticed the same thing and so did previous posters.
I think that you are the one who has a deeply rooted problem in the past to even make the statement “Men, especially Chinese men do need to improve yourself, if you guys are truly decent, Ziyi won’t need to do F or W whatever!”

When people went crazy, they were brutal to people no matter their nationalities, such happened also within their own nation, in many places and nations in the history, like Russian, Culture revolution in 60s and a similar one in thousand years ago in China, etc and etc.
Holding a negative heart is never a good thing, sorry, I might be simple but sometimes it is far better than not.
And, common cold is better than spreading the cancer cells. One boost your immune and another kill you.

Laura, dont confuse ideological differences, sovereighty issues and international politics with racism. Cultural Revolution in China was about a clash of ideological differences and not because of one race trying to enslave another. The issue with Tibet and china is one of sovereignty and NOT racism. Same thing with the history of Russia. Racism in its simplest definition just for you, Laura, is to discrimate another person or groups of people based simply on skin color. You can’t even tell when racism is racism.
It is better to face the truth of whats really happening in the world rather than to bury your head in the ground and pretend all is fine and dandy by being “simple”. Lets face it Laura, you choose only what you want to believe and dont have the courage to face the truth. The only thing the truth can do is to set you free, not cause cancer as you so equate it with.
If you have some black friends or maybe you know a rape victim, a holcaust survivor, tell them what you tell me, don’t be angry and hold it against your torturers, your rapists and your racists. I would be very interested to hear what their response to you will be.

I’ve watched some press interviewing and TV events when Zhangziyi is
off the acting. She is just a pretty girl (face only)without much inside. Lack of proper behavior manner and arrogant . Now I understand why a lot of
people in China dislike her. She totally can NOT be a reprentation for “Goddess of China”. She is just a lucky one…. worth be mentioned on
those gossip magazines.

You’re funny. As I am reading your comment, I find myself laughing out loud. That being said, I must say your perspective on the Hollywood media may be a little skewed. You have failed to notice/mention other national media often portrays visible foreigners as villains (speaking particularly of HK films). Especially HK films made in the 80s and 90s, often the foreign character (if there is one) will take on the role of a villain and also possess terrible acting skills (as though the casting agent casted the first foreigner in his line of vision). I don’t agree with the “white media” intent to insult Asian men. I agree, however, there is a limited pool of characters that are written for Asians in Hollywood. I don’t really see a problem in that as the same reason I don’t see a problem in HK films ridiculous portrayals of foreigners. As to your idea to solidify Asian men in the media, it already occurs in HK (i.e., Andy Lau) and likely in China and probably won’t happen in Hollywood until half the population of China decides to migrate to America, thus making Chinese the prominent race.
I guess I should make a comment on Zhang Ziyi since this is a forum about her. I don’t think she is particularly attractive, but understand why people (especially non-Chinese) find her physically attractive. I enjoy some of her movies and also feel her celebrity status is a pass for the media to scrutinize every aspect of her private life (if she sells tabloid magazines), but as long as she can live with her own choices, she’s golden.
