Selina Ren Biography
Selina Ren is a member of Taiwan girls group, “S.H.E” which is arguably the most popular girl group in the Chinese pop culture. S.H.E consists of 3 members… Selina Ren, Hebe Tian and Ella Chen.
In year 2000, the 3 girls took part in a talent quest organized by HIM International Records in Taiwan, namely “Universal 2000 Talent and Beauty Girl Contest.” Selina Ren was the eventual winner… and together with Hebe and Ella, they were selected to form a girls group, S.H.E.
S.H.E released their first album “Girls’ Dormitory” in 2001, which was a great hit and after they released their 2nd album “Youth Society” in 2002… their popularity are unstoppable.
The special thing about SHE is having 3 different girls that have totally different appearances and characteristics… Selina is sweet and gentle, Hebe is confident and naughty, and Ella is courage and brave.
S.H.E also has to thank the various TV hosting jobs that earlier in their career that helped boost their fame and popularity. The popular TV shows that S.H.E hosted include “Guess, Guess, Guess” and “Happy Sunday.”
S.H.E also started acting later on, their acting career however were not as successful as their singing (with the exception of Ella, who is doing ok in acting so far).
Why I like Selina Ren
Among the 3, my favorite is actually Hebe. This profile is actually by readers’ request (which I do entertain occasionally); but I do like Selina.
I think Selina has a unique and sweet voice, and she dance very well… obviously the most natural dancer among the 3 S.H.E girls.

Hey wow! Yummy, so glad you did a profile on Selina. She IS my very favorite. Probably my personal favorite singer along with Rene Liu and Fish Leong. I love her personality and voice. And she’s a beautiful girl IMO.

Yummy, seems like I read where Selina’s younger sister was originally supposed to be in the contest. But she was too young so Selina took her place, and the rest is history as they say, lol. Talk about fate and destiny!

I love Selina’s dancing. I saw a video of her in a live show where she did a really hot dance choreograhy. First she was in a white pants and jacket outfit doing some really fast and sexy moves, then the spotlight went to some guy dancers and when it went back to her she had changed into a latin dress doing some very graceful dance to Latin music, then went back to the guys, then back to Selina one last time where she was siiting in a chair dressed down to a really skimpy sexy dress and doing some great dance moves.
She’s an awsome dancer and has perfect rhythm, timing and coordination. She’s a long-legged beauty. A real talented lady.

The videos you watched must be from her recent concerts… as far as I know Selina just started to be ’sexy’ a few mths back.

LOL, they may be recent videos, I don’t know. I do know “sexy” is different things to different people. Which is good. If we all thought of sexy as the same thing then some of us would be out of luck.☹

I am curious though, that photo caption says” Once Apon a Time…S.H.E. Being true to your inner child.”
Any idea what that was used for? I noticed they had a photo with that caption for each one of the girls. Same sort of suroundings with different outfits on each. I wonder if that was for some special promotion of some sort?

The photo is for their album which in direct translation means “Don’t Wanna Grow Up.”
During an interview they mentioned that the idea of the album was that it would be great if they could stay at the naive age and wouldn’t need to face the troubles of the society, broken heart (love) etc… sort of.
