Bindi Sue, the 8-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin, will travel to Los Angeles and New York on Thursday as part of Tourism Australia’s G’Day USA Week to lure more American tourists to Australia.
Bindi is set to perform her stage show “Bindi and The Crocmen” and feature on TV talk-shows including “The Ellen Degeneres Show” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
I wonder if it’s the best idea to let an 8-year-old kid handling that kind of exposure and pressure. I guess Bindi will be reminded by the press about the tragic death of his father, which could be too much to bear for a kid who is far away from home.
Well, at least her manager, John Stainton said that Bindi would be given the choice to pull out of any media engagements no matter how late the notice.
Hopefully she will enjoy her trip in US.

My opinion is, that children at an early age are more capable of coping with reality than most adults. They are certainly better at accepting it than most adults. No doubt this child will be reminded of her father’s life and death throughout a lifetime and it’s unfortunate, but I suspect the possible constant attention of being a child of someone famous and lack of living a normal lifestyle will be the hardest thing to handle in this child’s future. She’ll probably keep a low profile most of the time. JMO. :)

As long as the kid is happy, that’s all that matters.
