God Father of Soul James BrownJames Brown, the “Godfather of Soul,” passed away on Christmas morning at age 73.

James Brown died of congestive heart failure at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. He was earlier diagnosed with severe pneumonia when he admitted to hospital last Saturday.

I am not a great fan of his funky music, but still… I can sing a few songs of Brown’s, or at least hymn a few tunes like “I Feel Good…” etc. James Brown is a true legend, and he will always be remembered.

Rest in peace, James Brown.

May’s wedding came just a week after her good buddy Cathy Tsui’s grand wedding. May’s husband is not as rich but runs a family manufacturing business and is quite wealthy also.

However in the end it’s love that matters right? Wish that May and her husband will have a happy marriage, and be together forever.

Ireland rocker BonoIrish rock star Bono will be awarded an honorary British knighthood. The 46-year-old U2 lead man, also a famous humanitarian tackling global poverty particularly for Africa.

Bono, real name Paul David Hewson, will however not be using the “Sir” title because he is not from a Commonwealth country.

In fact due to political reasons it’s not common for any Irish to be knighted by the British, and it can only be done with approval form the Irish government… and in this case they did.

I am always fond of Bono’s effort in charitable work; the world will be a better place if all those celebrities that are earning millions a year can spend a bit more effort to tackle poverty.

Congrats Bono!
