Julia Roberts, Danny Moder and twins Hazel and FinnJulia Roberts is expecting her third child with husband Danny Moder. The couple already have a pair of twins, Hazel and Finn since November 2004.

The pregnancy news first came out from New York Post and Julia’s rep has later confirmed the good news to People magazine and some other sources.

Congrats to the couple… it might actually be the 3rd and 4th, no one can guarantee that it’s not going to be twins again lol.

Actress Charmaine Sheh is the highest TVB earner in 2006. TVB is the largest TV network in Hong Kong, so it probably means that Charmaine is HK’s highest earning TV star this year.

Charmaine makes HK$7.2 million from TV contract, commercials and events’ appearances.

From 2nd to 5th are Bernice Liu, Roger Kwok, Gigi Lai and Kevin Cheng. Looks like the girls are having a better year than guys in 2006.

The DepartedChina has banned Hollywood movie “The Departed.”

The Departed, based on Hong Kong movie “Infernal Affairs,” was a great blockbuster hit in US. Directed by Martin Scorsese and featured heavyweight stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson etc., the movie already received multiple Golden Globe Awards nomination and is seen as hot favorite for Oscar as well.

It’s said that China film board requested that some part of the movie with sensitive issues (the trading of fire arms etc.) to be edited, but Scorsese refused to do so… and thus lead to the banning.

Looks like it’s going to be a big loss for both the Chinese movie fans and the film distributor.

Andy Lau at Hong Kong Metro Hits Awards 2006It’s the season for numerous Hong Kong music awards. On Tuesday (December 26), it’s Hong Kong Metro Radio Hits Awards, with veteran singer Andy Lau and Leo Ku are the biggest winner with 8 trophies each.

Joey Yung and Denise Ho are the biggest winners among female categories, with 5 and 4 awards respectively.

As always in HK music awards, it’s more like a show rather than recognition, with every attendees going home with an award or two.

A total of 90+ awards are presented, pardon me for not translating them, that’s just too much… here’s the complete list of winners in Chinese, from their official website.

God Father of Soul James BrownJames Brown, the “Godfather of Soul,” passed away on Christmas morning at age 73.

James Brown died of congestive heart failure at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. He was earlier diagnosed with severe pneumonia when he admitted to hospital last Saturday.

I am not a great fan of his funky music, but still… I can sing a few songs of Brown’s, or at least hymn a few tunes like “I Feel Good…” etc. James Brown is a true legend, and he will always be remembered.

Rest in peace, James Brown.

May Kwong married AndrewHong Kong artist May Kwong married to businessman Andrew on Christmas after 4 years of dating.

May’s wedding came just a week after her good buddy Cathy Tsui’s grand wedding. May’s husband is not as rich but runs a family manufacturing business and is quite wealthy also.

However in the end it’s love that matters right? Wish that May and her husband will have a happy marriage, and be together forever.
