Andy Lau Tak Wah Biography
Andy Lau Tak Wah started his career in Hong Kong main TV production company, TVB.
After graduated from TVB acting school, Andy Lau was given chances in some supporting cast before landing his first major role in “Hunting” (1982).
Andy’s breakthrough came later in 1983 where he starred in the ever popular Wuxia drama, “The Return of the Condor Heroes.” Andy Lau instantly becomes an Asian superstar since then.
Andy Lau was also given chances on the big screen, and his first major success in movies came in 1985 with “Unwritten Law,” with another 2 sequels made. From then on Andy has made over 100 movies in his still running acting career.
There are good and bad in those 100+ films; especially when Andy Lau was young, lots of his movies are commercial basis and could be pretty lousy production. Only in recent years that Andy began to be pickier in movies, and the qualities are more guaranteed.
It was also in 1985 that Andy Lau released his first album, but it took him a few years to be recognized as an established singer.
In the 1990s, Andy Lau together with Jackie Cheung, Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok were crowned ‘4 Heavenly Kings of Cantopop’, and dominated the Hong Kong music arena until late 90s.
Andy Lau has won many musical awards in his career, but his luck with movie awards is not as splendid. His first major acting award only came in 2000, as Best Actor in Hong Kong Film Festival with movie “Running Out of Time.”
Andy Lau has always been eager to prove himself as a good actor rather than a popular idol; and after a few years of disappointment, Andy Lau finally won the prestigious Golden Horse Award in 2004 for his performance in “Infernal Affairs 3.″
Andy Lau had previously invested in movies production in early 90s but met with failure; in the past couple of years he started his own production firm again to fund new Asian directors with their movie projects, and has achieved decent success so far.
Why I like Andy Lau Tak Wah
I think Andy Lau is one of the best role models in Asian entertainment world. I don’t think Andy is a talented artist, but he works hard all these years to become a good one.
Andy’s hardworking and professionalism has always been praised by the press, and he is always polite and well mannered in public appearance, while keeping a healthy lifestyle.

I know that Andy is with Carol Zhu and that is that. It is an open secret in Hong Kong. So shove your recycled pages and millions of words down my throat. He is also very sweet and lovable. He loves the flipside very, very much

When I finished my loooong post, the first words out of your computer sounded very sarcastic and patronizing. I said what I said because I speak my mind and speak it clearly. I am no fool. I guess you feel the same way about yourself. I never called you a liar, I never called you anything. I am not here for that. I could care less whether you are telling the truth or not. You made your point. Now move on to talking about other things. I am sick and tired of your repetitive words, over and over again. I belive they are writers here who don’t care one way or the other but they like to get a rise out of you and you willinging fall inti their trap. They are having a field day off of you. It is mean but it is the way it is. Just move on to something else truth serum. You do go on and on. Even the moderator has said that
My salary has nothing to do with it. I know you go after people with both barrells blazing. I just mentioned it to say that you can come after me. You don’t pay my salary, Iwill still be wealthy and have a home to go to that you or no one can take from me, so give it your best shot. That is what I MEANT.
You were the one who got catty with your sarcastic YEAH, RIGHT!!
February 12th, 2008 at 9:19 am
Just like you said your word is gospel, so is MINE. Don’t get nasty with me or my salary. Keep your Yeah Rights for the right time and the right people. I never attacked your glamorous life with a Yeah, right!!. that would be childish and disrespectful and assuming things I don’t know which would be very stupid

February 12th, 2008 at 9:24 am

February 12th, 2008 at 9:28 am
teena..
i never said– you called me a LIAR– but some have done.
anonymous– believe what you like– anyone can say that– but fact still remains– IF TRUE? THE HK PRESS WOULD HAVE CORNERD ANDY BY NOW– SAME WAY THEY HAVE DONE WITH OTHER CELEBS..
THAT’S THAT.
PS.. TEENA, LIKE I SAID- I FOUND THOSE WRITE-UPS HILARIOUS.

Teena, I’m with you that was very lovely what you said you speak for all of us good job.
I know the movie the Warlord is going to be good, when it come out on DVD I’m going to buy it. Andy is a fantastic actor. Teena you have met some of my Idols Jet Li had dinner with Carina Lau. Wow impressive. Nothing like having a good old Chinese conversation with these guys over noodle and green tea. I agree people should not be so mean to make Andy fans go over board, of course we feel like we have to defend his honor.
February 12th, 2008 at 10:37 am
shan..
you should have felt defending Andy’s honour when he was called nasty gay terms( & more) earlier pages in this forum.
I won’t be yapping my head off– there won’t be any need.
February 12th, 2008 at 11:17 am
really, it’s good to see some of you rallying behind Andy & find him a true gentleman..
well.. this is more cause & reason– one should l isten to t hings he says– & believing in him, isn’t it??
ole”!
February 12th, 2008 at 11:45 am

truth serum… I suggest you to stop wasting your time here. When I said that I would delete your comments, I mean it… I don’t care if you have used hours to post these 100+ comments after the warning… most of these comments will be gone. The only reason that I am not deleting it yet is because I am busy celebrating Chinese New Year now.
And to the other fella with dozens of different nicknames… you can stop sending me messages on how to manage the site. Your FBI stories are 100 times more ridiculous then what truth serum have written. Do you really think FBI or CIA or whatever would bother reading what are posted here? And you can stop ’scaring’ me that the site would be closed down… I have more knowledge and IQ to be fooled by this. Oh… and thanks for all the insults and curses.
February 12th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
One 2nd thought… I am closing the comment section until I finished cleaning all the rubbish.
Have a nice day. I know I will.
February 15th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Comment section reopens.
About 150 comments have been deleted from page 10 onwards… some of the comments from page 10-14 would sound odd because of the responding comments being deleted in between.
I don’t like deleting comments… as far as I could remember this is only the 3rd time I have mass edited comments on this site after running it for two and a half years.
I don’t mind seeing controversies or debates/arguments, that is part of what public forums are for… the only reason that I am deleting so many comments here is because of the repetitive nature of the comments… if I don’t intervene somewhere the same argument will keep on repeating for another 1000 comments…
Unless I have made some mistake during the deletion, only comments from two commentors have been deleted. Warning was already given much earlier but was ignored… both of you should have nothing to complain about.
The same rule still apply… no more repetitive stories about Carol Zhu, no more dog fighting against each other… or else I will have to continue being an idiot and delete future comments.
Ciao.

I am broken hearted. I need time away from this forum. I have been hit with some news I do not like. I am very sad
