Hong Kong veteran singers Andy Lau and Leon Lai duet in TVB’s 39th Anniversary Jade Gala Show, setting the climax of the star-studded event.
Andy and Leon had been the major forces and fiercest rivals in Hong Kong music arena in the 90s. Both of them are not dominating the music world as it was used to be, but they still maintained a huge fans base and influence in Asia.
The last time these 2 singers sing together was in 2003. This time in 2006, Andy and Leon duet 3 songs, one from each singer and ended with Alan Tam’s song titled “Friends.”
This year even is hosted by real life celebrity couple Carol Cheng and Lui Fong. Other than Andy Lau and Leon Lai, other heavyweight singers that performed at the show include Hacken Lee, Kelly Chen, Joey Yung, Miriam Yung, Leo Ku, Kenny Bee, Denise Ho, Ella Koon, Jordan Chan, Twins etc.
