Jennifer Love Hewitt was raised by her mother after her parents divorced when she was 6. Her brother Todd gave her the name Jennifer, after a girl he had a crush on as a youngster; Love was given by her mother after her best friend in college.
Jennifer Love Hewitt showed talent in music since she was young; she made her first public performance when she was 3, at a livestock show singing “The Greatest Love of All.”
When Jennifer was 5, she took lessons in tap dancing, ballet and Jazz, which led to her becoming a member of the Texas Show Team, touring Europe and the Soviet Union.
Jennifer Love Hewitt moved to LA with her mother at the age of 10, at the advice of a talent scout. It proved a wise move as Jennifer was offered a few commercial works and a role on Disney’s “Kids Incorporated.”
The Disney show ended in 1991 and Jennifer starred in some other shows and movies. Her movie debut was an independent production in 1992, “Munchie.”
Jennifer’s breakthrough came in 1996 when she joined popular TV show “Party of Five,” starring now popular Matthew Fox (in “Lost”).
Jennifer Love Hewitt became one of Hollywood hottest young star with 1997 hit horror movie, “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” co-starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Ryan Phillippe, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Jennifer went on to star in the 1998 sequel.
Party of Five ended in 1999, and the spin-off titled “Time of Your Life” didn’t make the popularity as its prequel and ended prematurely.
In 2000, Jennifer appeared in short series “The Audrey Hepburn Story,” based on real life story of Oscar winning actress, Audrey Hepburn.
Jennifer’s career seemed to hit downfall after that, her only noticeable appearance was probably in 2002 movie “The Tuxedo” co-starring Jackie Chan.
Jennifer Love Hewitt made a successful comeback in popular TV series “Ghost Whisperer” in 2005.
Jennifer Love Hewitt is popular with her acting; probably little known is that she has released 4 albums to date, achieving decent success in Japan in particular.
Why I like Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Love Hewitt is cute and hot, and talented. Jennifer has a long and colorful resume, and mind that she’s just 28; it’s a pretty impressive achievement for a young lady.
I noticed Jennifer when she was starring in Party of Five, she was cute but her acting was just average. I only started appreciating her acting in Ghost Whisperer; I think she’s doing pretty well.
I think Jennifer has a good voice too. She just needs better songs and a bit of luck to become a successful singer as well as an actress.

IF you watch JLH on talk shows and interviews, she also has remained very down to earth and self depricating. She seems a genuine person which is unheard of for someone w/ a career this long.

I have met her at my place of work recently. She treated my coworkers and I with the up most respect and I feel as if I was blessed with meeting her. She acted as if she was no different than us and talked with us as much as we wanted.
