“The King and The Clown” won 7 movies awards in the 43rd Daejong Movies Festival, or Grand Bell Awards that was held in Coex Convention Hall, Seoul on July 21.
The Daejong Awards presentation gala was attended by lots of Korean superstars like Lee Joon-ki, Lee Young-ae, Lee Jung-jae, Cho Seung-woo, Ahn Sung-ki, Jeon Do-yeon, Dennis and Seven etc.
Korean box-office record breaker, The King and The Clown (TKATC) was nominated for 15 categories, and was the biggest winner of the night by winning 7 movies awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Gam Woo-sung), Best Supporting Actor, Best New Actor, Best Screenplay etc.
Actor Lee Joon-ki won the Best New Actor with his performance in TKATC and another 2 prizes for being the Most Popular Actor in Korea and Overseas.
Jeon Do-yeon won the Best Actress for her performance in movie “You Are My Sunshine.”
