Taiwan idol-drama “Sonria Pasta” (微笑PASTA) starring singers Cyndi Wang and Nicholas Teo (Zhang Dong Liang) have started showing in Taiwan.
Cindy is Taiwan established female singer while Nicholas is Malaysia singer that are rising in fame in Taiwan. This is the first time this 2 stars are acting in the same TV drama.
Also starring in the mini-series are Gino Xu and Joyce Zhao.
The Sonria Pasta cast are busy promoting the TV drama across Taiwan at the moment, their 1st episode was aired on July 16 and receive good ratings.

The storyline of Sonria Pasta actually seems quite similar to Korean superhit “Full House” (starring Rain and Song Hye-kyo).. about love entangles between 4 guys and gals. Nicholas will star as a rising superstar (just as Rain) and had to pretend marrying Cyndi (just like Hye-kyo)..
Gino and Joyce will star as a couple, with Joyce being Nicholas ex-girlfriend. Nicholas still love Joyce, but Joyce deeply in love with Gino, whose real one-sided love is Cyndi instead.
It’s a romance and comedy mixed kinda drama, so there won’t be too serious stuffs and a happy ending can be expected.
It’s nice to see Nicholas doing well with his first Taiwan drama debut. I’m wondering how he is doing with Cyndi instead, rumors have been flying here and there about their relationship.

I just finished watching the last episode last night. I would love watch it all over again. At the end there were bloopers, lol soo funny! He Qun and Xiao Shi are sooo cute together. ^__^ i wonder if Nicholas and Cyndi will be a real couple too!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED this drama, Nicholas Teo and Cyndi Wang are such a PERFECT couple. I heard there was going to be a season two, but then some say Nicholas turned it down, some say he’s gonna stay, some say Cyndi turned it down and whatsoever, so im confused, but I really really really wish there is a season two, like after i finshed this drama, i could not find another drama to watch cause nothing could compare to it lol.
I wish Cyndi was in Nicholas’ new drama, Woody Sambo, I also heard she was supposed to play the female role but didn’t want to (?) whatevs, its hard for me to watch that tooo because the female role isnt Cyndi. But she’s shooting a new drama with Jiro Wang this year, so why couldn’t she just shoot the other drama with Nicholas, ’cause that drama isn’t even finshed yet? That would’ve boosted the views more, some people don’t like it cause she doesn’t star in it. Hmmm I don’t know, people have different perspectives of it, all I have to say is I LOVE THIS COUPLE, and hope they star in another drama together, even if its not Smiling Pasta sequel, their chemistry is so good. <3
