Nicholas Teo and Cyndi Wang, Sonria Pasta on air

Cyndi Wang and Nicholas TeoTaiwan idol-drama “Sonria Pasta” (微笑PASTA) starring singers Cyndi Wang and Nicholas Teo (Zhang Dong Liang) have started showing in Taiwan.

Cindy is Taiwan established female singer while Nicholas is Malaysia singer that are rising in fame in Taiwan. This is the first time this 2 stars are acting in the same TV drama.

Also starring in the mini-series are Gino Xu and Joyce Zhao.

The Sonria Pasta cast are busy promoting the TV drama across Taiwan at the moment, their 1st episode was aired on July 16 and receive good ratings.

The storyline of Sonria Pasta actually seems quite similar to Korean superhit “Full House” (starring Rain and Song Hye-kyo).. about love entangles between 4 guys and gals. Nicholas will star as a rising superstar (just as Rain) and had to pretend marrying Cyndi (just like Hye-kyo)..

Gino and Joyce will star as a couple, with Joyce being Nicholas ex-girlfriend. Nicholas still love Joyce, but Joyce deeply in love with Gino, whose real one-sided love is Cyndi instead.

It’s a romance and comedy mixed kinda drama, so there won’t be too serious stuffs and a happy ending can be expected.

It’s nice to see Nicholas doing well with his first Taiwan drama debut. I’m wondering how he is doing with Cyndi instead, rumors have been flying here and there about their relationship.

    It just started showing for a couple of weeks in Taiwan, later on sure will show in other places, be it Malaysia or Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.. so no worries, just wait and see.

    I so love Zhang Dong Liang. Seeing him doing good in his business, i am so happy for him.

    He and Cyndi are a very cute couple. If they act in Smiling Pasta, I ensure when it comes out in Malaysia i hope that it can be the toppest hit.

    Make sure hurry up show it in Malaysia. I will tell all my friend sto watch it. It’s funny and Nicholas and Cyndi makes a great couple.

    Candy.. there has been rumors that they are having relationship in real life, but the current situation it seems they are just friends and all rumors are just rumors.

    Actually Nic seems to be spending more time oversea than in Malaysia nowadays, even Malaysians are not seeing too much from him.. you might want to stay in China or Taiwan instead lol.

    When nicholas started his singing career in Taiwan, he did mention he liked Cyndi during an interview… and that’s probably why the producers made the drama with them because of the talking point.

    Not too sure about their relationship now, just friends or possible lovers… is very much unknown.

    Ohh………….     Oh the movie is GREAT!! Just finished watching it and i think i will watch it a few more times… Nicholas definately was so cute in the movie~ as for Cyndi, she is such a sweet gal.. cute.. both of them really does have the chemistry on-screen.. Hope to see both of them in other movie.. :)

    No idea who’s Liu Jia. For Gino, he was formerly in a boyband “K-One,” which was disbanded if not mistaken. His singing wasn’t that great in my opinion, but he is a great dancer.

The title of this film was translated into Vietnamese as “Tinh Co”(meaning “incidentally”).     i really love this dramas. and i hope that nicholas and cyndi act in another awesome dramas like this one. if it possiable i would greatly glad that they have smiling pasta season 2 =] i will hope for it. this is the most awesome drama ever !!!!! i really really hope i can seen another drama like this one =] and really really want nicholas and cyndi to act together in another drama. i will be the one cheering on =]

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED this drama, Nicholas Teo and Cyndi Wang are such a PERFECT couple. I heard there was going to be a season two, but then some say Nicholas turned it down, some say he’s gonna stay, some say Cyndi turned it down and whatsoever, so im confused, but I really really really wish there is a season two, like after i finshed this drama, i could not find another drama to watch cause nothing could compare to it lol.
    I wish Cyndi was in Nicholas’ new drama, Woody Sambo, I also heard she was supposed to play the female role but didn’t want to (?) whatevs, its hard for me to watch that tooo because the female role isnt Cyndi. But she’s shooting a new drama with Jiro Wang this year, so why couldn’t she just shoot the other drama with Nicholas, ’cause that drama isn’t even finshed yet? That would’ve boosted the views more, some people don’t like it cause she doesn’t star in it. Hmmm I don’t know, people have different perspectives of it, all I have to say is I LOVE THIS COUPLE, and hope they star in another drama together, even if its not Smiling Pasta sequel, their chemistry is so good. <3
