Kellie Pickler become the 4th American Idol Season 5 finalist to ink a deal with Idol producer Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings.
Winner Taylor Hicks, runner-up Katharine Mcphee and rocker Chris Daughtry have all signed their record contract and ready to be a pro-singer.
I am not suprise with the signing of Kellie Pickler, she’s the Idol fans favorite for quite a while until they gave up on her for singing really badly. Still the recording company sees the commercial potential in her and gave her a deal ahead of other finalists.
I hope that Kellie could seize her chance and improve on her singing, she needs lots of improvement if she’s to be a superstar.
At the meantime seeing more and more Idol finalists getting the contract give me some bad feelings. The crown of American Idol is make meaningless if other finalists can easily ink a record deal.
If some portions of fans think the same way as I do, the voting rates will drop sharply for next season.
