Leila Tong Ning Biography
Leila Tong was born in Hong Kong but her mother is half Indonesian, so Leila is partly (1/4) Indonesian.
Leila Tong started acting when she was 8-year-old in movie “Once A Thief.” Leila was then signed by TVB network as child star, featuring in children TV show and acting in some TV series.
(TVB is Hong Kong largest TV network, and their TV series are marketed all across Asia and in some Western countries as well)
Leila Tong was mostly given supportive role in TVB series, until she got the breakthrough in 2002 popular drama “Square Peg.” Leila was playing supportive role but her acting was well praised, and people started noticing Leila as a young lady and no longer just a child.
Leila Tong started to star as leading actress for some TVB series since then. Some of the popular TVB dramas she starred in include “Twin of Brothers,” “The Last Breakthrough” and “Life Made Simple” etc.
Although only at age of 25, Leila is already one of the most experienced TV actresses in Hong Kong, and will continued to grow in both her acting skills and popularity.
Why I like Leila Tong Ning
I think Leila is really cute; and because she started acting really young, her acting skills are well nurtured and is one of the best actresses among younger generation of TVB and Hong Kong artist.
I hope Leila will be given more leading roles in future TV dramas, and wish that she can become more famous and popular.

Ya, she looks younger than her age lots of the time… which might not be a good thing for an actress, because it limits the roles she can take in dramas or movies.

She has a natural pretty look and her acting is very natural too. I like to watch the dramas she acts in. Her years in acting should be given more credit. Frankly, not many actors and actresses can act from such a young age and lasts till now especially in this era. Many might either stop acting, in to drugs, alcohol, etc. I do really admire her perseverance as acting world is not an easy world to live in.

Hi all,
I’m from Brisbane Australia. I was flicking through our free local newspaper the other day and found a picture of Leila…..it was a free concert in the park on Sun 28th Oct 2007….just wondering if anyone else knows about this and whether or not someone can confirm if she is definitely going cause it sounds too good to be true!!!

there is Bobby Flynn from Australian Idol 2006….its a free concert in the park held by a local city council….thats all i know…..i thought it was kinda weird….leila being in brisbane…..and also being the only asian star in this concert…..

I can’t find any news about that… it could be Leila though, she can sing a bit although she is more famous as an actress.

yea she was at da concert~
she was really really pretty and everything….i think the majority of the ppl went there to c her
small mercies and bobby flynn were dere as well but leila had the most fans
it was a bit hard getting a photo with her becuz ppl were pushing and everything
there were’nt a whole lot of ppl dere~maybe cuz dey didnt do a whole heap of advertising for da concert
She sang about 5 songs i think~and gave away these poster like objects to fans
it was located at a park near in macregor~near pastow road
i thought she sang really well..and she was nice and kind
