It’s not all about movies in Cannes Film Festival, it’s sometime about love and caring.
A gala charity dinner and auction in Cannes managed to raise USD4 million for amfAR (the American Federation for Aids Research) in their annual charity event.
The event was hosted the event which was attended by stars and celebrities like Robin Williams, Samuel L Jackson, Sofia Coppola, Faye Dunaway, Wyclef Jean, Zhang Ziyi and the Duchess of York.
The auctioned items include an Elton John red piano, fashion apparels from Giorgio Armani, SergioRossi etc and private tennis lesson by Boris Becker, dream vacation blah blah..
amfAR has invested nearly USD250 million in its Aids prevention, research and treatment programme since 1985. It’s great to see the stars and celebrities contributing a part for making the world a better place.
