“American Idol” top 3 finalist Katharine McPhee returned to her high school, Notre Dame High School in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles last Friday.
The students were delighted with Katharine’s visit, posters were seen everywhere and teenage boys shouting out marriage proposal. Even the mayor also join in the fun at the packed gymnasium for the one hour McPheever show.
The 22-year-old Katharine McPhee is the first Los Angeles native to make it big in the popular US talent show, American Idol. The Idol winner will be decided on May 24.
Katharine gave an hour of singing, dancing and bear hugging to her former teachers, the students were delighted to have her back, and Katharine was probably as happy as well to be back to her high school.
Footage of Katharines’s visit will be shown on the coming American Idol show, with hometown segments featuring fellow finalists Elliott Yamin and Taylor Hicks as well.
