Angela Zhang Shao Han Biography
Angela Zhang Shao Han was born in Taiwan and moved to Canada when she was young.
Angela Zhang love singing since she was a kid and took part in lots of singing competitions. Angela got her breakthrough when she represented Vancouver (where she studied her high school) and won an international Chinese singing competition in Taiwan.
Angela’s talent was spotted by a music producer, her mentor, and she’s nurtured into a future superstar.
Although talented in singing, Angela first made her fame acting in 2002, with leading actress role in Taiwan TV drama “MVP Valentine,” co-starring Taiwan national basketball player Johnny Yan and popular boy band “5566″ member Tony Sun.
Angela Zhang then starred in 2003 in TV drama “At The Dolphin Bay,” it was in the series that Angela made her ‘professional’ singing debut with “Journey.” Her fans were amazed by her voice, and the media noticed her music talent too.
Angela Zhang didn’t take long to release her first solo album “Over The Rainbow” in January 2004, as expected it’s quite a hit. Angela then released her 2nd album “Aurora” in December 2004, followed by “Pandora” in January 2006.
Angela’s breakthrough in acting came in 2006 with TV drama “Bump Off Lover 17,” which won a nomination at the prestigious Golden Bell Award.
Angela released her latest album, “Flower in the Wonderland” in early 2007.
Angela Zhang is now working with both her singing and acting career, and features in bunches of commercials ads as well. We will see more of Angela Zhang in years to come.
Why I like Angela Zhang Shao Han
I like Angela Zhang Shao Han purely for her voice and singing. I think she’s one of the best vocal female singers in recent years from Taiwan.
Although many fans of Angela think that she’s cute, but she’s not my type of girl. I always felt that Angela is too thin, it’s said that she weighs less than 40kg… that’s very much underweight in my opinion.
I think that Angela’s acting is continously improving, but I still prefer her singing though. I think she will become one of the best Chinese singers if she can focus on what she does best.

oh my goodness! Angela has a beautiful voice… I watched her tv drama “my MVP valentine” about 4 or 3 yrs ago & i didn’t know that she could sing. That’s just so unfair (I’m the last person to know that!). But anyways, her song called “Journey” is such a beautiful song & she sang it perfectly. When I heard “Journey” today, it made me think if she’s a Christian because the song sounds like a Christian song (and maybe Angela is a Christian)….Anyways, I don’t care what weight she has on her or what color her hair is because I think that she is already beautiful regardless.

Angela Cheung is her name when pronounced in Cantonese (Hong Kong people speak Cantonese mostly), so it’s Angela Zhang. It’s uncommon though, most of the time she’s referred as Angela Chang or Angela Zhang.
Nope don’t think she’s married, just rumors.

Yummy, I looked up “Jiaohuan” in a Chinese dictionary and it told me it means “Trade, swap, exchange, barter etc”
“Huan” was said to mean “to give back” also, “trade, exchange..”
I noticed the 7th track on the new album is translated from 交換 to “exchange” So, could that be the song that I heard? Maybe that’s her latest single? I heard it at a music download site.

anw, angela’s voice is real good. as well as her improving acting skills. If you do go for voice classes, you’d know what I mean on the vocal part. It’s not easy to train your diaphram to be as strong as Angela’s judging from the power of her voice. her tonality and control are excellent as well. Get well soon fast Angela! i agree that angela zhnag is not pretty in the taiwanovela mvp valentine and dolphin bay but angela in romantic princess is very different. I did not recognized her before because she is beautiful. Her face is really different compared from her previous tv exposure. she’s really cute.

Hey Angela-hater, have you ever given Angela a chance? Or do you simply hate her because she was paired up with Chunnie in Romantic Princess and got to be surrounded by all those hot guys? Or do you hate Angela because you think she is taking Chunnie away from Ella? Or have Angela done something to you that makes you so spiteful of her? Tell me exactly why you hate her so much and perhaps I can put myself in your shoes and see things from your perspective.
It’s all right to dislike her, I mean everyone has their rights to do so, but verbally bashing someone and putting them down is another thing, especially when the victim is someone as loveable and talented as Angela. Listen to her sing live once and then judge her. Don’t judge her because she looks different from other girls. well i used to like her before because of her voice. but i realized there are more greater taiwanese celebrities than her like ella chen and ariel lin(in terms of acting). regarding about her singing, well i admit its good but im starting to love ella’s voice now. in short, im an Ella Chen freak already! Just want to share my opinion, To all Angela Fans or not fans.
I think by now most people can see how the respond from positive and negative. Even though we’ve all watch her show and maybe it move people or not because what does it matter to whom that doesn’t except her character in a such moving inspirational ways.
Not to many people pay close attention to what the story and how touching each characters has act.
I believe that if each individual pay close attention and acknowledge themselves that show and movies are put out to inspire people thoughts. It’s not easy to be where those actors and actress shoes and working hard to be in the spotlight. And dealing with media and much more out comes and most obstacles ahead. As you can see that people have such an ignorant opinion and not understand how life can be so hard being in the spotlight as a star or not.
So what important to all those haters that doesn’t use they’re common sense to realize and understand that feeling insecure about yourself because some else is getting all the spotlight and not you. Judging other people because they have such talent and strive to make it in life, and criticize people for their being. And if you think your better then them why don’t you take the spotlight and shine like a star?
To whom ever read this i think they understand what my opinion about, It’s not how you judge others. It’s how you understand them.
P.S it’s very sincere to whom Admiring Angela and others Actors and Actress…..Applause!!!!
