It’s the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards, Johnnie To’s gangster movie “Election” is the big winner, claiming 4 big prizes of best film, best director (Johnnie To), best actor (Tony Leung Kar-Fai) and best screenplay.

Best director Johnnie To and best actor Tony Leung both didn’t attended the award presentation because of work. Tony Leung however did make it to the post award party and posed with best actress Zhou Xun.

Peter Chan’s musical drama “Perhaps Love” is another big winner with 6 awards including best actress for Zhou-Xun, with the other 5 in technical credits.

Theresa Mo, 25th Hong Kong Film AwardsBest supporting actor goes to Anthony Wong for “Intial D” while best supporting actress Theresa Mo (pic right) got the biggest applaud of the night for winning her first award in a splendid 30 years of acting career.

Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou is named the best newcomer for his movie debut in “Initial D”.
