According to “Variety” newspaper, British film-maker Gurinder Chadha is set to direct the movie remake of 1980s popular TV drama series “Dallas”.
Gurinder Chadha is famous for her directed movie “Bend It Like Beckham” and is currently working on another cinema adaptation of a popular 1960s TV show, “I Dream of Jeannie”.
Chadha is said to be close to signing for Dallas as replacement for the original director choice, Robert Luketic, backed out for creative reasons. Dallas is produced by 20th Century Fox.
Last month it’s rumored that John Travolta and Jennifer Lopez will play leading role in Dallas the movie, I am not sure whether it’s been confirmed.
Gurinder Chadha’s Bend It Like Beckham was 2003 worldwide blockbuster movie. One of the leading actress Keira Knightley is now an international superstar.
