Rainie Yang Cheng Lin Biography
Yang Cheng Lin (Lily) started her entertainment career when she was 14, featuring in commercials in Hong Kong.
When Cheng Lin was 15, she went for a BMG audition in Taiwan and was selected to form a girls group “4 In Love.” It was during that time that Cheng Lin got her name ‘Rainie’ that was used ever since then. The other 3 members were named Sunnie, Windy and Cloudy.
Rainie Yang stood out as the most popular girl from 4 In Love after starring as Xiao-You in 2001 popular Taiwan TV mini-series “Meteor Garden.”
4 In Love released 2 albums and was quite popular in Taiwan, but was sadly disbanded in 2002 due to personal issues. The other 3 members decided to pursue different interest, only Rainie decided to continue her prospering entertainment career back then.
Rainie’s decision proved wise as her popularity continued to grow with her leading performance in 2002 superhit Taiwan TV drama “The Love Book.”
It’s also in 2002 that Rainie started hosting in TV shows, including as co-host for the popular entertainment show in Taiwan, “Guess, Guess, Guess” with Jacky Wu.
Rainie’s another breakthrough was in 2005, she become superstar with her acting in highly rated Taiwan drama, “Devil Beside You” alongside heartthrob Mike He Jun Xiang.
With the success of Devil Beside You, Rainie Yang went back to singing again… releasing her debut solo album “Ai Mei” or “My Intuition” in September 2005. With the assist of the popular TV drama and TV show she was involving, the album became a superhit, Rainie is recognised as a singer once again.
Rainie is crowned the ‘Godmother of Cuteness’ by the press and her fans as she is good in making cute voices and faces, some people actually think she’s overacting but Rainie’s fans love it.
Rainie Yang released her 2nd solo album “Yu Shang Ai” or “Meeting Love” in March 2006, and started promotion overseas in Hong Kong as well.
Already a superstar in Taiwan, Rainie will become a superstar across Asia pretty soon.

I liked 4 In Love pretty much, and thought that Rainie was cute. She’s still cute these days but I actually love her as her matured lady in some of her TV dramas.

i’m sorry to say that there are news that say mike won’t be in EXCHANGE LOVE.there is no official confirmation yet but mike recently said that he won’t be acting with rainie anytime soon.that’s too bad..before rainie left for her US concert, she confirmed that she’ll be doing the series with mike but a few days later, mike was saying the opposite thing.here’s the old article on EXCHANGE LOVE.

Angie Chai is to produce a new drama for “lovebirds of the hour” Mike He and Rainie Yang come the end of the year. Mike He who is known to be TVB Hong Kong’s new recruit and Rainie Yang, one of the hottest Taiwanese popstars hit it big as a tandem last year headlining the hit Taiwanese idol drama, “The Devil Beside”.
The new drama is to begin filming next season and Chai expressed to be hiring the best wardrobe specialists and makeup artists for well-prepared drama that will be based on a Korean manhwa. The current working title of the series is “Exchange Love” and as of the current, after a long wait and speculations, it is confirmed that He and Yang are to play the respective leads.
The gist surrounds a handsome heir to a business empire who couldn’t get enough of his womanizing and rude behavior. He then meets a poor girl who juggles 3 physically-enduring jobs for a living. Boy insults girl on a weird encounter and through supernatural occurences, they discover they had switch bodies the next morning. Girl wakes up in the boy’s body, in his family mansion while boy wakes up with the body of the girl in her bedspace. Their mission to get back to their real selves will be followed as the series goes on and this cooperation leads them to fall in love.
Rumors are high saying the release of this series could coincide with Rainie Yang’s outing of her third album.

oh my you call that pix of rainie “style” it looks more like a dress for the dead… i’m for real you know that dress she’s wearing. “The ring” wear it the “gudge “and many more…she should play the next scary movie she will be perfect she even have the perfect outfit for the ghost part.she has the look to play in that part too.
If she ever did they will make alot of cash..she needs no make up just her face
