Patty Hou Pei Chen Biography
Patty Hou Pei Chen is daughter of a former well-known Taiwanese actress and a TV producer. Patty is a double degree holder with major in mass communication and minor in psychology from USC, Los Angeles.
Patty Hou was inducted as a trainee reporter in year 2001 and began to get noticed as English news anchor at CTI channel in 2002.
In 2003 Patty was appointed as primetime news anchor for Era channel, and since then regarded as Taiwan prettiest news anchor.
In 2004 Patty crossed into the entertainment world as Azio entertainment news anchor and hosted a fashion related TV show.
Patty Hou was rumored attached with numerous celebrities including singers, actors and other rich and famous. It was however in 2005 that her Mr. Right was revealed, Patty and Taiwan popular singer Jay Chou was in love.
Shortly after their romance prevailed, Patty resigned as Era news anchor and focus on her entertainment career.
The Chou-Hou romance received mass reviews and some criticism because Jay Chou was rumored attached to another singer Jolin Tsai at that moment.
Anyhow Jay and Patty didn’t stay long together; they ended their relationship in mid 2006.
Patty made her first TV series in 2007 with popular artist Vic Zhou, and is planning on releasing her solo album as well.

Patty Hou Pei Chen is special; she provides a different kind of taste and pleasure in the jaded Taiwanese entertainment scene.
Probably not the prettiest face, but Patty has a good smile and cute voice.
Unlike other noisy and chaotic hosting style, Patty hosted her entertainment news with much more professionalism while not losing any entertaining value; kudos for that.

[i think patty is gorgeous.She’s genuine in her actions and seemed to be very kind and understanding. Way better than that ayumi-wannabe jolin tsai.She’s freaking disgusting.Lastly,patty’s really smart.Her english is polished and very well presented,unlike that show-off jolin,who fakes accents and has terrible grammar usage. =D chill monkey… ]

To Nalgene, I’m a Taiwanese. I never like Jolin and Patty but if you want me to choose, I choose Jolin. You know what; in Taiwan she’s better than Patty. Patty started famous was because of Jay. I never heard any good thing about Patty especially her background, and I guess you wouldn’t wanna know that.

Jolin is more famous than Patty for sure; not just in Taiwan, but all across Asia.
You are probably right about some bad rumors on Patty… lots of the time I couldn’t be sure if it’s facts or rumors.
One thing for sure though, I like the way Patty speaks and hosts on TV shows… it’s quite pleasant.

Can’t remember, I wrote the info almost a year ago. What I can be sure is that it’s stated by multiple sources.
I read from some news that she didn’t actually graduate from USC, but I didn’t follow up from that… anything you can enlighten us?

Nope. This is the first time I heard about her education in USC actually. I’ve never been in chinese boards btw. My parents are Taiwanese, I speak chinese but I can’t read.

ic… I did read sometime ago that she didn’t graduate from USC, but not sure if it’s fact or rumors. But for sure she did study there though.

I am in Taiwan. I just got here 3 days ago. Terrible weather, but it’s good to came back again. I see many Asian drama videos and all the stuff here. Yummy, what is your favorite Korean drama?

Favorite Korean drama… hard to pick one, it should be between “Sangdo” and “Jewel In The Palace.” Both dramas are not the kind with handsome hunks and pretty girls, but with great storylines.
You probably know about Jewel In The Palace (also known as Dae Jang-geum); Sangdo is however not well known in other places, but had high ratings and won multiple awards in Korea in 2001/2002.
