Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe will starred in an Australia historical “epic” directed by Australian director Baz Luhrmann.
The Oscar nominated director for Moulin Rouge told the press that he would direct and co-write the movie with Australian screenwriter Stuart Beattie.
He is hoping to produce an Australian based movie comparable to “Gone With The Wind” and “Lawrence of Arabia.”
It has been a dream for Luhrmann, Kidman and Crowe to make a large Australia production, to the extend that both Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe are willing to take a huge pay cut to finance the movie.
New Zealand borned Russell Crowe has been staying in Australia for years, and is a good friend of Aussie Nicole Kidman.
The duo planned to star in a Australian film based on the novel “Eucalyptus” last year but the production failed just days before the shooting.
